Das Traunstein

It was a memorably bad experience. Waiter’s attitude was very rude. He didn’t listen till the end of our order but cut it and then left. We felt he tried to ignore our table and gestures. Even when we wanted to pay, we had to come and to ask him because he didn’t check our table at all. When we asked him then he sent another server to our table. He even didn’t contact to eyes to us. It was very weird because he seemed okay to other tables. We were an international group and it was hard to think of other reason than him being racist… On the top of it, I found a hair/fur in my dish. Unfortunately, when I mentioned it to the waiter he left as soon as saying “oh sorry”. I didn’t feel he gave any care anyway. About other factors, location and vibe was good and food was decent. Don’t expect fine dining quality but still it’s decent menu.

Great restaurant right on the banks of Lake Traunsee, fine cuisine with a small menu. Very hard-working waitress who managed the entire fully occupied terrace by herself. Special today, roast pork with warm coleslaw and bread dumplings. Fabulous view of Lake Traunsee from the terrace. The only disadvantage is that the cars park directly on the terrace.
